Over twenty years ago, Sari turned to yoga as an alternative therapy after a life-threatening cancer diagnosis and a subsequent battle with an eating disorder, and addiction. She has been teaching since 2007, and is a Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500, RCYT, RPYT and continuing education provider. Sari holds additional certifications in Gentle Therapeutics Yoga, Yoga for Addiction Recovery, Yoga for Cancer (Y4C), Yoga for Eating Disorders, Trauma-Informed Yoga, Trauma-Sensitive Heartmath, and Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy. She is also currently pursuing her clinical yoga therapy certification with the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).
Her life experience and extensive therapeutic yoga and somatic training have allowed her to bring accessible and trauma-informed movement into various clinical settings.
