Alyssa received her BA in psychology from Villanova University and has close to 4 years of experience working with eating disorders and common co-occurring disorders such as OCD, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. She is currently working towards her MA in Psychology at Hunter College and works as a student research assistant in the Youth Cognition and & Suicide lab studying the relationship between various maladaptive thought patterns, self-harm behaviors, and suicide attempts in adolescents.
Alyssa strongly believes that full recovery is possible and is dedicated to providing support to those on their own recovery journey. She is passionate about broadening access to mental health treatment and using psycho-education to challenge the stigma associated with mental illness. In her free time, Alyssa enjoys spending time outside, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones.
