
Dr. Sam S. Moss is a double board-certified adult, child, and adolescent psychiatrist with a focus on the treatment of eating disorders and the advancement of multidisciplinary psychiatric care. He currently serves as Medical Director and Chief of Psychiatry at Within Health, where he leads psychiatric services across levels of care, oversees the organization’s medical clearance process, and ensures safe, high-quality delivery of eating disorder treatment nationwide.
Dr. Moss completed his early education in Montreal, Canada, earning degrees in molecular biology and political science. He went on to complete his psychiatric training in New York and Miami, including his intern year at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai at Elmhurst Hospital, where he received the Patient Choice Award for outstanding patient care. He completed his general adult psychiatry training at Florida International University and Citrus Health Network, where he served as Chief Fellow and was recognized as both Fellow Teacher of the Year and Fellow of the Year.
He previously served as Director of Psychiatry at Galen Hope, leading psychiatric care within PHP and IOP settings for patients with complex eating disorders and co-occurring conditions.
Dr. Moss holds voluntary faculty appointments as Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry at both University of Miami and Florida International University, where he supervises child and adolescent psychiatry fellows. He is also an elected council member of the Florida Psychiatric Society and has presented nationally, including at the Society of Critical Care Medicine, American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
