Dr. Jen Barney is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist currently residing in Columbus, OH. She completed her Masters' in Psychology at Drexel University and her PhD in clinical and counseling psychology at Utah State University. She began her clinical career completing her pre-doctoral residency at Parkview Behavioral Health in Fort Wayne, IN and then worked full time as a psychologist for Eating and Behavioral Health Associates in Columbus where she provided individual psychotherapy for individuals aged 6 and up with eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD,) and other common co-occurring conditions.

Jen’s research and clinical experience has largely focused on understanding and improving the efficiency and efficacy of evidence-based interventions for these conditions and she has received extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and exposure and response prevention to support this work.

Jen also works frequently with the National Alliance for Eating Disorders—the leading U.S. non-profit organization dedicated to eating disorder awareness and recovery support—to co-facilitate their free therapist-led support groups for individuals in eating disorder recovery and their loved ones.

In her free time, Jen enjoys traveling to visit her loved ones located all over the U.S. and cuddling with her fur baby, Derrick Henry (who was indeed named after the NFL running back while reportedly living in a college dorm room for a semester or two before she adopted him).
