Billing rights & estimates

Within Health participates in certain health plan networks and may not participate in others. A list of health plans in which Within Health is a participating provider is available on request by contacting our admissions team at (866) 293-0041. Your network participation status will also be discussed with you during the admissions process.

If Within Health is not a participating provider in your health plan's network, you have the right to request an estimate of the amount for which you may be responsible before services begin. To request an estimate, contact our admissions team at (866) 293-0041. We will provide the estimate to you in writing. Applicable state response timeframes are as follows:

  • Colorado residents: within 3 business days of request (C.R.S. § 12-30-113)
  • Indiana residents: within 5 business days of request (IC § 25-1-20)
  • New York residents: upon request (N.Y. PHL § 24)

Within Health complies with all applicable state surprise medical billing and balance billing laws, including the Michigan Surprise Medical Billing law (MCL 333.24501 et seq.) and Washington's Balance Billing Protection Act (RCW 48.49). If Within Health is not a participating provider in your health plan's network, you will receive a disclosure regarding your financial responsibility before services begin.
