Sarah Anaya

Sarah Anaya

Primary Therapist

Sarah Anaya is a licensed therapist with experience treating eating disorders at the PHP and outpatient levels. Since graduating with a master’s degree in 2010, she has been a provider in several highly regarded treatment settings and also worked as an adjunct professor of counseling and psychology.

Sarah utilizes a blend of CBT, DBT, ACT and motivational interviewing to assist clients on their journey to self-understanding and self-acceptance. Challenging and eventually soothing the inner critic are skills she enjoys imparting to those who struggle with food and body image. She also utilizes systems therapies to help clients unravel oppressive rules and roles that may have stemmed from relational dysfunction or diet culture.  Sarah is well-versed in HAES and supports an intuitive eating approach.

While she has lived in various parts of the United States, Sarah’s favorite spots are the Pacific Northwest and northern Arizona, where she currently resides. In her free time, it's mom life (with endless Target runs!), hiking in the pine with her husband, and enjoying the quiet spaces of her local coffee house.
