Lauren Kim

Lauren is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Massachusetts. She received her Master's in Social Work from Boston College School of Social Work and her Bachelor's from Tufts University. She has worked with eating disorders at multiple levels of care since 2018 in residential treatment, outpatient medical settings, and colleges/universities.

Lauren is a Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned practitioner and believes in utilizing a strengths-based, client-centered approach to help each client meet their own unique goals. She believes in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship and aims to bring warmth, compassion, and curiosity to her work with clients. She is also passionate about increasing access to culturally-congruent care for those in the AAPI community and has presented at various college and university conferences on how aspects of Asian American culture, identity, and expectations affect perceptions of mental illness and access to care for Asian Americans with eating disorders.

In her free time, Lauren enjoys being a plant mom and taking her pittie, Piglet, to the dog park with her partner.
