Kaitlyn Fredrick is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner who believes mental health treatment to be both the science and the art of providing compassionate, high quality, evidence-based care. She feels patients should always be approached with unconditional positive regard in each encounter and be given every opportunity available to attain their highest level of holistic wellness. Kaitlyn has experience treating children, adolescents, and adults in various settings, including extensive work with eating disorder patients in an inpatient/residential/partial hospitalization eating disorder treatment facility, private practice, and in university student health centers. Kaitlyn has special interests in eating disorders, mental health of college students, life transitions, OCD and anxiety disorders. She has received specialized training and certifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Kaitlyn graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management and Policy from Georgetown University. She then graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing with a Master of Nursing degree with a focus on psychiatry and mental health. Kaitlyn currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband and their two rambunctious dogs.
