Marissa Adams is a core team member at Fighting Eating Disorders in Underrepresented Populations (FEDUP), a collective of trans, gender diverse, and intersex (TGDI) individuals. As Marissa progressed in recovery from her own eating disorder, she developed an interest in spreading awareness and destigmatizing eating disorders and other mental health conditions. Marissa has a background and interest in medical and behavioral health terminology and is passionate about including underrepresented populations in writing and research. Marissa has a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from Towson University and her past work experience includes volunteer and programming in nonprofit support and advocacy organizations dedicated to intersex individuals and families.
